Pot Roast In Under An Hour
Pressure cooker pot roast

Pot roast is a favorite of mine, and now I don't need to cook it all day in my slow cooker. With my Duromatic Pressure cooker, I can cook a tender pot roast in less than an hour.

The following recipe is one my mother gave to me for cooking a pot roast in a slow cooker, I've modified it for a pressure cooker.

What is needed:

  • 4 Pound Thawed Roast
  • 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 1 Package of Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 Cups of Water
  • 5 Small Red Potatoes
  • 1 Hand Full of Carrots
  • 5 Quart Pressure Cooker (or larger)

Benefits of Pressure Cooking Meats
Pressure cooking will give you tender tasty meats FAST, even cheaper cuts of meats will become tender. Not only can you cook a pot roast in under an hour, but you can do a beef stew in under 16 minutes. Pressure cooking keeps all the natural flavor and nutrients inside the meat making it more healthy and and full of taste.

Duromatic pressure cooker
If you don't already have a pressure cooker, I recommend the Duromatic Duo 6 piece set.

There are other great pressure cookers available, but I do recommend that you get a 5 quart or larger pressure cooker so you can cook larger meals.
