Fresh Made Juice for the Juicer's Soul

3 Types of Machines:

Centrifugal Juicers

Centrifugal Juicers are the most common and most popular style of juicers. This is most likely attributed to the fact that it is also the most original type. All of the first juicers made were centrifugal. Centrifugal means, that there is a shredder disc or grater that spins at high RPMs. (about 3600 RPMs) And the produce is pressed into these discs to make the juice. There are however two different types of centrifugal juicers, standard and pulp ejection. In a standard juicer, the produce is pressed into these disc and the juice drains down while the pulp stays in a basket inside the machine. This is very convenient because the juice is nearly 100% pulp free. But it also requires shorter juicing periods because the straining basket must be cleaned out periodically. The standard centrifugal machine we carry is the Omega 1000 Juicer. In a pulp ejection juicer the pulp is "ejected" out of the machine into some sort of container. This results in a cleaner juicing cycle but a noisier machine. The pulp ejection machine we carry is the L'Equip Mini 110.5 Juicer.

Masticating Juicers

Masticating Juicers are the next most common juicers on the market. Isntead of just shredding the produce, these machines masticate the produce. Mastication is condsidered, chewing, crushing and shredding. This process makes it possible to further break down the cell structure in the pulp of the produce. By doing this, the essential vitamins and qualities of the produce are left in your juice. The only model we carry of the masticating juicers is the Champion Juicer.

Single Auger Juicers

The last group of juicers is the Single Auger Juicers. This machine is comprised of a single auger that is inside a mesh screen. This auger pushes and crushes the produce repeatedly against the screen therefore extracting the juice. This juicer produces a juice that is tends to be very pulpy. Most often a mesh strainer is included to ultimately strain the finsihed product of the excess pulp. For years and years this type of machine was used remotely for wheatgrass juicing. Wheatgrass is a wonderful produce filled with many vitamins and minerals that can promote good health. Some of these include chlorophyll and fiber. Because of its soft texture, wheatgrass is very hard to juice. The single auger machine was made to remedy this problem. Throughout the years the single auger juicer has been changed and improved to not only benefit wheatgrass lovers but lovers of all types of juice also. Now with the improved technology feel free to use a single auger juicer to juice most all types of produce. We specialize in the Omega 8005 Juicer and the L'Equip Visor Juicer.
